Field-Map LT is running on Windows Pocket PC computers. Such lite and inexpensive pocket PC is ideal

Project management
- Project is prepared by using Field-Map Project Manager in the same way like for Field-Map Data Collector
- project definition is transferred from desktop computer to PDA using platform independent format (XML)
- after data collection process is complete the Project Manager is used to import data back to desktop computer

Database structure
Supported are these types of layers
- point

- data (in relation one-to-one and one-to-many)

For each layer can be defined number of attributes of these types

Accessing project data
- during field work the data of project is saved (manually or automatically) to fast internal database
- for data transfer from/to desktop computer the XML data format is used
- when opening a project the user can create a new one from XML definition or load semifinished project from internal database
- when opening a plot the already measured plots are marked

Navigation to the plot
- support for navigation using GPS and/or laser rangefinder + electronic compass
- predefined or custom defined map projections and geotransformations
- georeferenced raster image can be used as background map (map composition can be prepared using Field-Map Project Manager)
